An XDC wallet is the app that holds the private key for your address on XDC Network, the EVM-compatible layer 1 that started life as XinFin. It stores XDC, the coin that pays every fee, along with XRC-20 tokens such as USDC. Transfers confirm in a few seconds and cost a tiny fraction of a cent.
One quirk causes most of the confusion. Older XDC wallets and some exchanges write addresses with an xdc prefix, while MetaMask, the XDCScan explorer and most EVM tools use 0x. Both spellings point to the same account, and the other 40 characters never change. Figures below are as of October 2026.

How an XDC wallet works#
XDC Network runs Ethereum's account model and virtual machine. So an XDC wallet behaves much like an Ethereum one: the chain keeps your balance, the wallet keeps the key that signs, and every transaction pays gas in XDC.
Your XDC wallet address: xdc or 0x#
An XDC address is 20 bytes written as 40 hexadecimal characters. XinFin introduced the xdc prefix to mark an address as belonging to its network. Underneath, the chain works with 0x like any EVM network. XDCScan now displays the 0x form and finds an address typed either way, but some exchanges and older XDC tools still expect xdc.
Converting is mechanical. Replace the two characters 0x with the three letters xdc, or the other way round, and leave everything else alone. For example, 0x71C7656EC7ab88b098defB751B7401B5f6d8976F and xdc71C7656EC7ab88b098defB751B7401B5f6d8976F are the same address.
Keylo shows your XDC address in the 0x form, but the To field takes either spelling when you send, as long as the prefix is the lower-case xdc that XDC apps use. Keylo converts it to 0x before checking it. If a service refuses one form, give it the other instead.
Same phrase, different XDC address#
A second quirk scares people more. Some wallets with built-in XDC support derive XDC keys on XDC's own coin type, 550, instead of Ethereum's 60. D'CENT, for example, explains that its XDC account uses its own coin type, so it won't match the EVM address made from the same phrase.
Keylo derives XDC on the Ethereum path m/44'/60'/0'/0/0, as MetaMask does. Import a phrase that a coin-type-550 wallet used, and Keylo opens a different, empty address. But your coins are still where they were. Send them from the old wallet to your new 0x address, and test with a small amount first.
How to choose an XDC Network wallet#
XDC wallets fall into four groups.
Extension and mobile EVM wallets. XDC's wallet setup docs say any Ethereum wallet works and walk through MetaMask and Trust Wallet. MetaMask can also connect to XDC dapps.
Hardware wallets. D'CENT sells a biometric device with native XDC support. The key stays offline, so it suits large balances you rarely move.
Exchange accounts. The exchange holds the keys and decides when you can withdraw.
Web wallets. These open in a browser tab, with nothing to install. Keylo is one of them.
Before you settle on one, check three XDC details. Start by finding out whether it derives XDC on path 60 or 550, because that decides whether your phrase moves cleanly between apps. Then check that it accepts both address prefixes. Finally, make sure it shows token contract addresses, so a fake USDC can't pass as the real one.
Keylo fits people who want to hold XDC and stablecoins, send them, and swap or bridge between networks with one recovery phrase. It isn't the right tool for XDC DeFi apps or masternode rewards, because Keylo can't connect to dapps or stake on XDC.
How to add XDC Network to MetaMask or Trust Wallet#
XDC's setup guide describes two routes:
MetaMask. Open the network menu, choose Add Network, search for XDC and approve XDC Mainnet.
Trust Wallet and other EVM wallets. Add a custom network called XDC Mainnet with RPC URL
https://erpc.xinfin.network, chain ID 50, symbol XDC and explorerhttps://xdcscan.com.
Both use your Ethereum account, so the address should match Keylo's for the same phrase. Compare the two before you move funds.
How to create an XDC wallet in Keylo#
XDC Network is already in Keylo's list, so there's no network or RPC to add.
On the sign-up page, fill in your full name, email, phone number and a password, confirm the password, tick the terms box and tap Create account.
If Keylo asks you to check your inbox, confirm your email.
Pick Create a new wallet. Your browser makes a 12-word recovery phrase and encrypts it with a key derived from your password (Argon2id, then AES-256-GCM). Keylo's server only ever receives the encrypted copy.
Type XDC into Find a network or coin on the home screen and open XDC Network. Your
0xaddress is there.Write the phrase down. In Settings, open Recovery phrase, enter your password and tap Show my phrase. Copy the 12 words onto paper, tap I wrote them down, then confirm three of them.
While you're in Settings, set up Two-factor authentication and an Anti-phishing code.
Keylo never holds the key to your vault, so a password reset can't open it. Your recovery phrase is the only way back in.
Importing from MetaMask or an XDC app#
Choose Import a recovery phrase and enter your 12 or 24 words. A MetaMask phrase shows the same XDC address and balance, since both apps use path 60. A phrase from a wallet that used coin type 550 opens a different address, as explained above.
Keylo doesn't include XDC's Apothem testnet, but a real test transfer costs only about 0.0003 XDC in gas.

How to receive XDC and USDC#
Tap Receive and choose XDC Network. The screen reads "Receive on XDC Network" above a QR code.
Tap Copy or Share, or let the sender scan the code.
On an exchange, choose XDC Network as the withdrawal network. Exchanges may label it XDC or XinFin.
If the withdrawal form rejects your
0xaddress, replace0xwithxdcand paste it again.Then watch your XDC Network balance, which usually updates within a couple of minutes.
On XDC, Keylo's Activity list shows only transfers sent from Keylo, so a deposit shows up as a new balance. To see the deposit itself, open your address on XDCScan from the XDC Network page.
The same screen notes that every EVM network in Keylo shares this address. If someone sends USDC to this address on Ethereum or Polygon instead, it isn't lost: it lands on that network in Keylo, and you can bridge it across.
How to send XDC#
Tap Send and choose XDC or an XRC-20 token on XDC Network.
Paste or scan the recipient in To. Addresses starting with
xdcor0xboth work.Enter an amount or tap Max. For XDC, Max keeps back enough for the fee.
Tap Review, then pick Slow, Normal or Fast.
Read the review screen. It shows the network, the full recipient address with its first and last six characters in bold, and the fee in XDC.
Tap Send. Keylo signs in your browser, shows "On its way" and then "Sent", and links to the transaction with View on XDCScan.
What Keylo checks first#
Keylo test-runs each XDC transfer before you sign. If the network says it would fail, such as a short balance or a token contract that refuses it, you see why before paying. It also catches these mistakes:
No XDC for gas. Sending USDC from an empty XDC balance shows "You need some XDC on XDC Network to pay the network fee."
A smart contract as recipient. Keylo warns you, because tokens sent to a contract that doesn't expect them usually stay stuck.
The token's own contract. Keylo blocks this common paste error outright.
An address from another kind of chain. Paste a Bitcoin or Solana address and you get a clear message instead of a send.
If a transfer ever stays pending, the done screen offers Speed up, which resends it with a higher fee.
XDC gas fees explained#
Every XDC transaction pays gas in XDC: the gas it uses times the price per unit. A plain XDC transfer uses 21,000 gas. A token transfer runs the token contract's code, so it needs roughly 40,000 to 65,000 gas, more when the recipient has never held that token.
Since January 2026, XDC transactions carry a base fee plus a small tip, as on Ethereum. Unlike Ethereum's, though, XDC's base fee doesn't float with demand: the protocol fixes it at 12.5 gwei. That level dates from a September 2024 upgrade that raised the old 0.25 gwei minimum fiftyfold. Some fee tables, including pages in XDC's own docs, still quote 0.25 gwei. Wallets read the live price from the network, so trust the number on your review screen.

XDC blocks are rarely full, so Slow, Normal and Fast differ by tiny amounts and usually land in the next block or two. Keylo adds nothing to a normal send, and the review screen says the fee is paid to the network.
Blocks arrived about every 2.4 seconds on average over the 20,000 blocks up to October 24, 2026. Under XDPoS 2.0, 108 masternodes vote on each block. A block becomes final once it and the next two blocks are certified in consecutive rounds, so an XDC transfer is usually settled in under ten seconds.
Tokens, USDC and swaps on XDC#
XDC tokens follow XRC-20, the network's name for the ERC-20 standard. Circle has issued native USDC on XDC Network since September 2025, along with its CCTP V2 transfer protocol. The genuine contract is 0xfA2958CB79b0491CC627c1557F441eF849Ca8eb1, and Circle's USDC on XDC page confirms it. You may also see USDC.e, the symbol of older bridged versions at other contracts, which Circle doesn't issue. Anything else called USDC is a copy, so check the contract before you accept a payment.
Keylo looks for a short list of well-known tokens on XDC by itself, including Circle's USDC, bridged USDT and WETH. Others, such as WXDC, appear once you add them under Settings → Networks → Custom tokens → Add token: pick XDC Network, then enter the contract address, symbol and decimals.
Swaps and bridges from XDC run through LI.FI, which compares decentralized exchanges and bridges for you:
Tap Swap. Under You pay, pick XDC or a token on XDC Network and enter an amount.
Under You receive, choose a network and token. Search by name or paste a contract address.
Compare the routes by amount, time and fees.
Open the details for every step, Minimum you receive and Delivered to, which is your own address on the other network.
Confirm and follow the progress screen until the funds arrive.
Default slippage is 0.5%. A bridge either delivers your funds or returns them, sometimes as a different token that still reaches your wallet. Any Keylo service fee appears on its own line. Which pairs have routes depends on the XDC exchanges and bridges LI.FI covers, so a thinly traded token may show none. The swap and bridge page explains routes and refunds.
What Keylo doesn't do on XDC#
No staking. XDC rewards go to masternodes, which need KYC and 10,000,000 XDC, and to holders who vote for them. Keylo stakes only on Cosmos SDK chains, so run a node or vote through XDC's masternode site with a wallet it supports.
No dapp connections. Keylo has no extension and no WalletConnect, so XDC DeFi and trade finance apps can't see it. MetaMask with XDC Network added works for those.
No NFTs. There's no NFT view for XDC in Keylo, and it can't send NFTs.
No testnet. Apothem isn't available in Keylo's testnet mode.
No hardware wallets and no card purchases. Buy XDC on an exchange, then withdraw it on XDC Network.
Keylo is also non-custodial. Lose both your password and your recovery phrase, and nobody can open the wallet, Keylo included. The list of supported networks shows every chain your phrase covers.
XDC scams and mistakes to avoid#
XDC's quirks give scammers a few extra openings.
"Wallet validation" sites. Strangers reply to public help requests and offer to fix a stuck transfer by "validating" or "syncing" your wallet on an outside site. Those sites end with a form that asks for your recovery phrase.
Fake tokens. Anyone can deploy an XRC-20 called USDC or XDC with the right logo. So only the contract address proves which one you hold.
Address poisoning. Scammers send dust from addresses that match the first and last characters of ones you use. Copy addresses from the source, never from your history, and compare the middle too.
Prefix and path confusion. A wallet showing a zero balance after an import is usually a coin-type mismatch, not theft. Check the old wallet before you panic or pay anyone to help.

You hold a little XDC for gas.
The exchange withdrawal network says XDC Network.
Any prefix change you made touched only the first characters.

Which address format does XDC Network support, xdc or 0x?
Both. They're one address with different prefixes: XinFin introduced xdc to mark addresses on its network, but the 40 characters after it are identical. To convert, replace 0x with xdc or the reverse and change nothing else. Some exchanges accept only one form. Keylo displays the 0x form and accepts both when you paste a recipient.
Can I use MetaMask as an XDC wallet?
Yes. XDC's docs say MetaMask now lists XDC Network (chain ID 50), so you can add it by searching for XDC in the network menu. A MetaMask phrase imported into Keylo shows the same XDC address and balance, because both use Ethereum's derivation path. MetaMask can also connect to XDC dapps, which Keylo can't, so some people keep both.
How do I add XDC Network to Trust Wallet?
XDC's wallet docs describe adding it as a custom network in Trust Wallet's network settings, with chain ID 50, symbol XDC, the RPC URL https://erpc.xinfin.network and https://xdcscan.com as the explorer. A custom EVM network uses the same 0x account as Ethereum, so the address should match Keylo's for the same phrase. Compare them before moving funds.
Why does my recovery phrase show a different XDC address in Keylo?
Your old wallet probably derived XDC on coin type 550, XDC's own path, while Keylo uses Ethereum's path 60. The same phrase then gives two addresses. Your funds are safe at the old one. Open the original wallet and send them to your Keylo address, starting with a small test amount.
How much does it cost to send XDC?
Very little. As of October 2026, XDC's base fee is fixed at 12.5 gwei, and wallets suggest a 2.5 gwei tip. A plain transfer costs about 0.0003 XDC and a token transfer about 0.001 XDC. Keylo shows Slow, Normal and Fast options with their cost before you sign and adds no fee of its own.
How long does an XDC transaction take?
A new block arrives every 2 to 2.5 seconds. Under XDPoS 2.0, a block is final once it and the next two blocks are certified in consecutive rounds, which usually takes under ten seconds. In Keylo, most transfers show "Sent" within a few seconds. Exchanges often wait for extra confirmations before crediting a deposit, so allow a few minutes there.
Can I stake XDC?
Yes, but not in Keylo. XDC rewards go to masternodes and to holders who vote for them. Running a masternode takes KYC and 10,000,000 XDC. Both run through XDC's masternode site, which XDC's staking guide pairs with XDCPay or a hardware wallet. Keylo stakes only on Cosmos SDK chains, so on XDC it covers holding, sending, receiving, swapping and bridging.
Is USDC on XDC Network real USDC?

What happens if I send XDC to the wrong address or network?
XDC transfers are final, and nobody can reverse them. If the address belongs to someone else, only that person can return the funds. If you sent to your own address on another EVM network Keylo supports, the funds sit there and you can bridge them. A mistyped prefix edit usually means the coins are gone.
